Raley/Nash Finish Fall with No. 47 Doubles Ranking

COLUMBIA, MO. – Mizzou Tennis senior Amina Ismail and freshman Marta Oliveira have captured a No. 32 national ranking in the Oracle/ITA National Preseason Doubles Rankings, announced Tuesday by Intercollegiate Tennis Association officials.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Tennis senior Clare Raley (Atlanta, Ga.) and sophomore Serena Nash (Bradford, England) are ranked No. 47 in the final Oracle/ITA National Doubles Rankings of the Fall, announced Tuesday by Intercollegiate Tennis Association officials.

Raley and Nash have won two of their three doubles matches this season, including a solid 8-6 win over the then-No. 16th-ranked Wichita State pairing of Bizhukova/Porubin at the ITA Central Regionals on Oct. 20.

"Both Clare and Serena have been putting in some hard work this semester and it's great to see it paying off," said Head Coach Colt Gaston. "Serena's ball-striking ability and explosiveness, along with Clare's experience and great decision making on the court, make them a very solid team. I look forward to seeing them continue to build in the upcoming dual season."

It's the second time a Mizzou doubles team has been ranked this season, as another senior-freshman duo, Amina Ismail (Maineville, Ohio) and Marta Oliveira (Lisbon, Portugal), were ranked No. 32 in the ITA Preseason rankings. Those two are 4-3 on the season.

The Tigers open their Spring season at home on Saturday, Jan. 20, vs. SEMO and Central Arkansas. For all the latest on Mizzou Tennis, stay tuned to MUTigers.com and follow the team on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
