Larson tallies 13 kills on .600 hitting despite loss
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Volleyball (12-9, 5-3 SEC) fell to visiting Georgia Friday evening inside the Hearnes Center, 3-0 (22-25, 18-25, 25-27).

- Kira Larson: 13 kills on season-high .600 hitting, 2 aces, season-high 2 solo blocks
- Sydney Deeken: 11 kills, 5 digs
- Courtney Eckenrode: 1 kill, 26 assists, 5 digs, 2 total blocks
- Kayla Caffey: 4 kills on .375 hitting, 2 digs, team-best 4 total blocks
#Mizzou Takeaways
- Larson was the Tigers' top offensive threat from the get go Friday, as she produced six kills (zero errors) on .857 hitting in the opening set. She ultimately finished with 13 kills, marking her third double-digit kill output in SEC play this season.
- Deeken finished with 11 kills for the second consecutive match, while establishing her eighth 10-plus kill match this year.
- Junior Alyssa Munlyn recorded two block assists tonight against the Bulldogs, giving her 107 overall this year. The total now ranks as the eighth-most block assists in a single season in Mizzou history.
- Eckenrode surpassed 20 assists in a match for the seventh consecutive time, as she finished with 26 overall against Georgia.
- Caffey paced the Tigers in total blocks (four) for the fifth time this season, including her second consecutive match.
- Freshman Dariana Hollingsworth paced Mizzou with six digs, marking her second time this season with the most individual digs in a single match.
- After a season-best five-match winning streak (Sept. 24 – Oct. 13), the Tigers have now dropped two consecutive matches following tonight's loss. However, Mizzou still owns a solid 7-3 record in its past 10 matches.

Mizzou hits the road for a pair of matches next week, beginning with a visit to Ole Miss on Wednesday (Oct. 25) evening. The Tigers close their weekend with a trip to Georgia on Sunday (Oct. 29) afternoon.
