@MizzouSwimDive Programs, 22 Individuals Earn Academic Honors

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou men's and women's swimming and diving programs, as well as 22 individual student-athletes, earned academic honors from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced on Wednesday. Both Tiger teams claimed Scholar All-America recognition for achieving spring 2017 grade point averages of 3.0 or higher, while 14 individuals were named Individual Scholar All-Americans and an additional eight claimed honorable mention honors.

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou men's and women's swimming and diving programs, as well as 22 individual student-athletes, earned academic honors from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced on Wednesday. Both Tiger teams claimed Scholar All-America recognition for achieving spring 2017 grade point averages of 3.0 or higher, while 14 individuals were named Individual Scholar All-Americans and an additional eight claimed honorable mention honors. 

The women's program posted a spring team GPA of 3.49, while the men's squad earned a 3.18 to claim team recognition. 

Individually, Sharli Brady, Kyle Goodwin, Carter Griffin, Rachel Hayden, Daniel Hein, Jennifer King, Nadine Laemmler, Lauren Reedy, Katharine Ross, Fabian Schwingenschloegl, Hannah StevensEllie Suek, Victoria Trost and Kira Zubar earned Scholar All-America accolades. Honorable mention recipients include Kylie Dahlgren, Courtney Evensen, Aurore Jacolin, Kendra Kieser, Micah Slaton, Nick Staver, Martin Wallace and Samantha Wilts

The individual selections recognize students who achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Honorable mention awardees achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at a zone qualifying meet.
