@MizzouGym's Harris Named an Unsung Hero

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Kennedi Harris (Atlanta, Georgia) of the Mizzou gymnastics team was named an Unsung Hero by the Missouri Student Unions and Student Unions Programming Board (SUPB) earlier this month. The Unsung Hero award acknowledges selfless acts of initiative and commitment performed by undergraduate students on the MU campus. Unsung Heroes may express these traits through academics, employment, service, student organization involvement and more. Nominees are evaluated on dedication, creativity, integrity, perseverance, initiative, character and hard work.

Harris recently completed her junior season for the Tigers, where she competed in all 13 meets in the vault and floor lineups. She finished the season ranked 20th nationally on floor with a regional qualifying score (RQS) of 9.910. She recorded nine scores of 9.9 or better on the year, including eight on floor and one on vault, and 23 of her 26 routines in 2016 earned at least a 9.8.
