MIZZOU LOOKS FOR REBOUND VS. DELAWARE STATE

• Following a heartbreaking, 28-27, loss to No. 13/16 Georgia last weekend at Memorial Stadium, Mizzou Football and head coach Barry Odom will look for a bounce-back win as they welcome Delaware State of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) to The Zou on Saturday (Sept. 24) for a 3 p.m. kickoff on SEC Network. Mizzou is 15-0 all-time against teams from the FCS, including a 34-3 win over Southeast Missouri in last year's season-opener.
• Coach Odom's team suffered a 28-27 setback at the hands of Georgia last weekend as the Bulldogs scored the go-ahead score with 1:29 remaining on a 20-yard TD pass from Jacob Eason to WR Isaiah McKenzie on 4th-and-10 to stun the Tigers, who led for much of the game. Mizzou nearly got into field goal range after WR J'Mon Moore took his eighth catch into Bulldog territory on the first play of the ensuing drive, but a fumble gave the ball to Georgia to seal the win for the Bulldogs. Despite the fumble, Moore was outstanding in the game, totaling 196 yards on eight catches with a pair of scores. It was the ninth-best performance ever by a Mizzou wideout.
• Delaware State was idle a week ago and comes to Columbia with an 0-2 mark on the young season. DSU, led by second-year head coach Kenny Carter, lost to Delaware, 56-14, in week one before falling at home, 34-20, in week two against Monmouth. The Hornets were 1-10 last year in Carter's first year, including a 1-7 mark in MEAC play. The lone win of the year came in the final week of the season when the Hornets topped Howard, 32-31.
• Mizzou's offense has come to life through three games this season thanks in large part to an explosive passing attack. Mizzou ranks fifth nationally in passing offense and leads the SEC with 378.3 yards per game.

WEEK 4 STORYLINES

• Mizzou will be in search of its second bounce-back win of the season when it welcomes Delaware State on Saturday. After dropping its season opener at West Virginia, Mizzou recovered for a 61-21 win over Eastern Michigan in week two. Saturday's game will mark the final of a three-game homestand for Mizzou. The last time Mizzou played three consecutive home games was in 2013 when Mizzou played Florida (Oct. 19 - 36-17 win; Oct. 26 vs. South Carolina - 24-27 loss; Nov. 2 vs. Tennessee - 31-3 win). Mizzou will be looking to go 2-1 in the three-game homestand.
• Mizzou has outscored its last 12 FCS opponents, 577-96, good for an average of 48.1 - 8.0 in those contests. Mizzou is 15-0 all-time against schools from FCS.
• Mizzou's offense ranks in the national top 10 in passing yards, fewest sacks allowed, fewest tackles for loss allowed and is in the national top 20 in total offense and passing yards per completion heading into week four.
• Delaware State comes into Saturday's contest giving up 300 yards per game on the ground. Mizzou has managed just 148.3 yards per game on the ground through the first three weeks as it has focused heavily on the pass, setting up an intriguing matchup.
