MELBOURNE, Fla. - Incoming Mizzou Men's Golf recruit Trevor Ullestad (Jewell, Iowa) showed exactly what head coach Mark Leroux saw in him with his play at the NJCAA Men's National Championship (May 17-20) at Duran Golf Club, tying for third (72-67-71-69 -- 279) in the event for Indian Hills Community College. The effort earned him First Team NJCAA All-America honors, his second career NJCAA Al-America recognition.
Ullestad shot at-par or better in all four rounds, with his stellar second round coming in at 5-under-par (67). The future Tiger went 4-under-par over his final two rounds to conclude his Indian Hills career with a blistering 9-under-par tournament.
Ullestad's play helped his squad to a strong finish, as well, with Indian Hills placing in a tie for fourth.
As a freshman at Indian Hills in 2014-15, Ullestad placed 16th overall at the national championship. His senior year of high school, Ullestad led South Hamilton High School to an Iowa Class 2A State Championship, and he also claimed the individual state tournament title.
