• Mizzou (16-11, 3-10 SEC) will face Alabama (4-17, 0-13 SEC) on Wednesday in the first round of the 2016 SEC Tournament in Baton Rouge, La. Mizzou looks to advance to the second round of the tournament for the third consecutive season after defeating Arkansas in the first round in each of the last two seasons.
• Mizzou enters the tournament at No. 65 in the Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings. Mizzou entered the rankings for the first time in two years on March 1, coming in at No. 57 and has been in the rankings ever since.
• The Tigers have posted 16 wins this season, the most wins since 2004-2005 and the fourth-most in a single season in program history.
• Junior Bea Machado Santos has contributed solid production at the No. 1 singles position, producing an 14-8 record at the position, and a 15-8 overall singles record in the spring season. Santos owns six wins over ranked opponents this season and is currently ranked No. 53 in the Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Singles Rankings.
• Senior Kelli Hine picked up her second ranked win of the season in a straight sets win over No. 80 Natalie Suk on April 16. Hine registered career win No. 100 on Feb 19 in a singles win over Mercer.
Tigers to Watch
Bea Machado Santos
• Junior Bea Machado Santos sits at 97 career wins, three wins away from milestone win No. 100 and owns an incredible 52-28 mark in doubles play.
• With six ranked wins and being ranked No. 53 in the nation, Santos seeks the first NCAA Tournament Appearance in program history since 2003. The National Tournament field will consist of the top-64 players determined by the NCAA.
Kelli Hine
• Senior Kelli Hine enters the SEC Tournament on a hot streak after winning three of four matches in the last weekend of play, including her second ranked win of the season over No. 80 Natalie Suk (Ole Miss).
• Over her career, Hine is 59-57 in singles play and 51-41 in doubles play, amassing 110 total career wins, tops among any active Tigers.
Meet the Tigers
Kelli Hine
• Two ranked wins on the season, defeating Andie Daniell (No. 49) and Natalie Suk (No. 84).
• Recorded her 100th career win on Feb. 19 in a singles win over Mercer.
• Qualified for the 2015 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships in October, which hosts the top tennis players in the NCAA for a preseason tournament.
Brianna Lashway
• 12-13 mark in singles play during the spring season, including a 7-8 mark at the No. 3 position and a 5-5 mark at the No. 2 position.
• Took home No. 1 doubles play title at 2015 Mizzou Invite
• Has a knack for dominating the fall season as she collected four event championships last year with two singles titles and two doubles titles.
Brittany Lashway
• Clinched match vs. Ole Miss with singles win at No. 5 position.
• Leads Mizzou in singles wins with 24, improving her career singles record to 40-35.
• Took home two event titles at the 2015 Mizzou Invite, securing a No. 6 singles title and a No. 3 doubles title with partner Clare Raley.
Clare Raley
• Three SEC wins in singles play, second most on the team.
• Clinched Mizzou's first SEC win of the season over Alabama at No. 6 position.
• Was the first ever Top-50 recruit in Mizzou tennis history. She was a five-star recruit for six years according to TennisRecruiting.net and was ranked as high as No. 35 in the nation within the Class of 2015.
Bea Machado Santos
• Six wins over ranked opponents this season, Brooke Austin (No. 7), Andie Dikosvljevic (No. 20), Arianne Hartono (No. 29), Sadie Hammond (No. 66), Justina Mikulskyte (No. 78), and Allison Miller (No. 107).
• Her .595 career winning percentage is a team-high (97-66), highlighted by a dominant 52-28 doubles mark.
Cassidy Spearman
• Elected 2015-16 team captain
• Named to 2016 SEC Women's Tennis Community Service Team
• 10-8 mark in doubles play during the spring season, including four SEC wins in doubles play, tops among the Tigers.
Turner Yates
• Earned first singles victory of spring season in 6-2, 6-3, win over Faty Khamissi (Missouri State) on Feb. 6.
• Went 4-3 in singles play over fall season
• Played on the same travel circuit as Clare Raley during prep career
