OPENING TIP
• Mizzou started the season 13-0 for the first time in program history with an unblemished run through nonconference play and the Tigers have reached 18 wins before February for only the second time in program history and first since the 1976-77 season. Mizzou is currently tied for sixth in the SEC at a 5-5 mark during league play.
• On Thursday evening, Mizzou fell 65-50 to Georgia at Mizzou Arena. The Tigers tied the score heading into the fourth quarter but were unable to slow down a ferocious shooting barrage by the Lady Bulldogs in the final 10 minutes. Sophie Cunningham led Mizzou with 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
• The Tigers are ranked No. 21 in the most recent Associated Press Top 25 poll, marking seven consecutive weeks that Mizzou has been ranked nationally, which last occurred from Jan. 29 - March 11, 1984. When the Tigers broke into the Top 25 on Dec. 21, it marked the first national ranking for the program since Jan. 9, 2006, which lasted only a week. Mizzou also broke into the USA Today Coaches Poll this week at No. 24, marking the first time they have been in the poll since the end of 2000-01.

• The Tigers rank 24th nationally in rebounding margin (+8.5), 29th in field goal percentage defense (35.7), 36th in field goal percentage (44.1), 37th in scoring margin (+12.8), 40th in free throw percentage (73.7) and 46th in 3-pointers per game (7.2).
• Forwards Jordan Frericks and Cierra Porter are shooting 55 and 53 percent from the field, respectively. Mizzou's starting five is shooting 50 percent from the floor and 38 percent from 3-point range.
• Freshman guard Sophie Cunningham leads the team in scoring (13.3) and is 11th in the SEC. She is the only freshman in the top 24 in the league in points. Cunningham has been named SEC Freshman of the Week four times, which is also tops among SEC freshmen.
• Mizzou is 4-1 all-time against Mississippi State, with the Tigers earning the first victory in the series over the then-No. 6 Bulldogs on Jan. 14 at Mizzou Arena. Sophie Cunningham scored 22 points to lead the Tigers to a 66-54 victory. That win marked the highest-ranked opponent Mizzou has defeated since upsetting then-No. 4 Baylor on Jan. 4, 2006.
