@MizzouTennis Posts 6-1 Mark in Singles Play on Day Two of Big Green Invite

The Tigers now have 19 total match victories during the tournament
HANOVER, N.H. – Mizzou Tennis continued an impressive showing at Dartmouth's Big Green Invitational with a successful day two of competition. After winning 11 of 16 matches yesterday, Mizzou won eight of a possible 11 matches during Saturday's action.
Mizzou posted a 6-1 record in singles play and three different Tigers won all of their matches to highlight day two. Juniors Brianna Lashway (Bradenton, Fla.) and Amina Ismail (Maineville, Ohio) won their third doubles match as a pairing at the Big Green Invite in the morning session, downing Penn State's Bennett Dunn and Jackie Zuhse. Both Lashway and Ismail followed that performance with victories in their respective singles matches. Ismail remains an undefeated 5-0 this weekend after a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles.
Senior Cassidy Spearman (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) was the third Tiger to go 2-0 on Saturday by winning her singles match 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 and claiming her doubles match with partner freshman Tate Schroeder (Centennial, Colo.), 7-6 (1). Spearman boasts a 4-1 record at the Big Green Invitational including an impressive 3-0 mark in doubles play.
Lashway, along with freshman Mackenzy Middlebrooks (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), now lead the team with a 7-2 overall record in singles play this fall after they each picked up another victory on Saturday. Middlebrooks added a doubles win to claim her 10th doubles triumph of the season.
Additionally, junior Clare Raley (Atlanta, Georgia) sealed her second singles win of the Big Green Invitational by defeating Penn State's Liyin Xu, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2.
