COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Women's Golf will conclude its 2016 Fall season this weekend with a trip to Las Vegas, Nev., for the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. The tournament is set for Oct. 23-25 and is hosted by the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) at the Boulder Creek Golf Club on Desert Hawk and Coyote Run courses.
The Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown begins on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 2 p.m. (CT) with a shotgun start and 54 holes over the three days. Second round action is slated for Monday, Oct. 24, at 10 a.m. (CT) while the final round will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 10 a.m. (CT).
Mizzou will be one of 19 teams competing in Las Vegas at the Collegiate Showdown. Also in the tournament field will be Baylor, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Idaho, Indiana, Long Beach State, Nebraska, Nevada-Reno, New Mexico, San Diego State, San Jose State, Texas, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UNLV and Vanderbilt.
Head coach Stephanie Priesmeyer will trot out junior Clara Young (North Berwick, Scotland), sophomore Emma Allen (Southampton, England), sophomore Amanda Kim (O'Fallon, Mo.), sophomore Cayce Hendrickson (Benton, Ky.) and freshman Jessica Yuen (Bolingbrook, Ill.) as her lineup in Las Vegas.
Sophomore Marit Harryvan (Winschoten, Netherlands) will also make the trek west, competing as an individual golfer for the third time this season.
