@MizzouSoccer Earns 2015-16 NSCAA Team Academic Award

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou soccer team earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award, the NSCAA announced. The Tigers were honored for their exemplary work in the classroom during the 2015-16 school year.

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou soccer team earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award, the NSCAA announced. The Tigers were honored for their exemplary work in the classroom during the 2015-16 school year. 

To qualify for the award, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player's GPA, then dividing by the number of players.

Last season, 18 Tigers earned spots on the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll and an another five were named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.

The Tigers return to the pitch on Thursday, Oct. 20 when the team travels to Fayetteville, Ark., to face No. 12 Arkansas at 7 p.m.
