  • Mizzou Men's Basketball (8-11, 1-5) heads to Kentucky (15-4, 5-2) on Wednesday, Jan. 27, with an 8 p.m. tipoff set for broadcast on the SEC Network. 
  • The Tigers return home Saturday, Jan. 30, for the annual Coaches Vs. Cancer White Out Game vs. Mississippi State (7:30 p.m.). All fans are encouraged to wear white. 
  • Junior guard Wes Clark has reset his career scoring mark three times this season, with his latest 20-point outing (26 points at No. 19 South Carolina, Jan. 16) the most recent effort of note.
  • Head coach Kim Anderson's squad is looking for its second conference win of the season after their decisive, 76-61 victory over Auburn (Jan. 9).
  • Freshman forward Kevin Puryear became the sixth-fastest freshman to break 200 points in program history vs. Georgia (Jan. 20).
  • Puryear leads the Tigers in scoring in overall games this season with his 11.5 points per game.

Last Time Out

  • Mizzou (8-11, 1-5 SEC) led by four points at the 17:25 mark in the second half at No. 10 Texas A&M (17-2, 7-0), but could not keep pace with the Aggies down the stretch, dropping a 66-53 result at Reed Arena on Saturday.
  • Junior guard Wes Clark led the Tigers with 12 points, also matching his career-high with a team-high nine rebounds. Clark also snagged nine rebounds vs. Chaminade at the Maui Invitational last season.
  • Freshman forward Kevin Puryear also reached double digits with 11 points. The freshman continued his strong shooting from the free throw line, shooting 5-of-7 from the charity stripe.

Clark Against the Wildcats

  • Junior guard Wes Clark has done his part in three career games against Kentucky, averaging 12.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
  • In most recent action against the Wildcats (Jan. 29, 2015), Clark scored a then-career-best 19 points on 7-of-16 FG shooting and a 3-of-7 day from beyond the three-point line. Clark has since posted three games of 20+ points this season.

Road Tests Loom Large for Mizzou

  • Mizzou's trip to No. 20 Kentucky on Wednesday, Jan. 27, will be the Tigers' fourth true road game against a ranked opponent this season. That total ranks tied for most in the Southeastern Conference with Vanderbilt.
  • Head coach Kim Anderson's squad has also played at No. 13 Arizona (Dec. 13), at No. 19 South Carolina (Jan. 16) and at No. 10 Texas A&M (Dec. 23).

Last Time vs. Kentucky

  • More than 13,000 fans packed into Mizzou Arena to watch head coach Kim Anderson's squad take on No. 1-ranked Kentucky on Jan. 29, 2015. Mizzou trailed by just six points (32-38) midway through the second half, but ultimately fell by a score of 69-53.
  • Then-sophomore guard Wes Clark led Mizzou with a then-career-high 19 points.
  • Mizzou was whistled for a season-high 30 fouls with two starters fouling out (Keanau Post, Namon Wright).

  • No. 20 Kentucky (15-4, 5-2) has won two-straight SEC games after starting conference play with a 3-2 mark. Head coach Jon Calipari's group defeated Arkansas on the road, 80-66 (Jan. 21) and Vanderbilt (Jan. 23), 76-57, in recent action.
  • Freshman guard Jamal Murray leads the Wildcats with his 17.8 points per game. Murray has additionally sank a three-point attempt in every game this season.
