COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Football took to the Kadlec Practice Fields on Friday afternoon under much cooler and cloudier skies for day three of #MIZCamp 2016. After the heat index approached 110 degrees Thursday afternoon, Friday's practice saw temperatures fall back into the mid-to-upper-80s.

Following the individual drills, a spirited 7-on-7 took place on the west field while the D-Line and O-Line went 1-on-1 on the east field. Freshman WR Dimetrios Mason and junior WR J'Mon Moore each hauled in long TD passes in 7-on-7, the latter of which came on a perfect 40-yard strike from QB Drew Lock, right along the left sideline for the long score. Mason slipped past the defense on an inside post and hauled in a perfectly thrown ball by freshman QB Micah Wilson for his score.

The defense was not to be outdone as freshman CB Christian Holmes jumped a route on the left side to earn a key interception during 7-on-7.

11-on-11 followed with big plays on both sides of the ball. Wilson connected with TE Albert Okwueghbunam on a quick strike over the middle that turned into a big gain. The defense also came up with big plays, highlighted by S Cam Hilton jumping a route and picking off a pass in space. The team worked on special teams following 11-on-11 and that rounded out practice. Mizzou's Saturday practice will be open to the media after Friday's was closed to media. Barry Odom's team will have a walk-thru in the morning before another 4 p.m. practice Saturday afternoon. Below is social media content from Friday.
