SHOAL CREEK, Ala. – Mizzou Women's Golf opens its first NCAA Regional since 2008 on Thursday morning. The eighth-seeded Tigers open the three-day tournament at the Shoal Creek Golf Club with a 7:22 a.m. tee time. Six teams and three individuals from regional play will advance to the national championships.
"We plan to give it our all with a strong three days of golf," head coach Stephanie Priesmeyer said. "This group can absolutely get it done. We will continue to stay in the moment and enjoy these next few days of golf together."
On Tuesday, Michelle Butler (Dunedin, Fla.) and Emma Allen (Southampton, England) received All-SEC honors. Butler was named second-team All-SEC while Allen earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman Team.
Butler, Allen, Marit Harryvan (Winschoten, Netherlands), Amanda Kim (O'Fallon, Mo.) and Jessica Meek (Carnoustie, Scotland) form Mizzou's lineup.
Other teams competing in the Shoal Creek regional include Alabama, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, California, Iowa State, Florida State, Tennessee, Purdue, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, Clemson, Michigan, Middle Tennessee, New Mexico State, Eastern Kentucky, Oakland (Mich.) and Alabama State.
