COLUMBIA, Mo. - Former Mizzou swimming All-Americans Dominique Bouchard and Mack Darragh will compete at the 2016 Canadian Olympic Trials, set for April 5-10 at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre and Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Bouchard and Darragh both begin competition on Wednesday, April 6 and conclude action on Sunday, April 10.

Bouchard, an eight time All-American at Mizzou from 2010-13, will swim the 100m and 200m back events at the Trials. She currently ranks sixth in the world and first among Canadians this year in the 200m back with a time of 2:08.90 from last month's Arena Pro Swim Series Orlando. In a breakthrough season in 2015, Bouchard qualified for the FINA World Championships, where she placed sixth in the 200m back and was a part of Canada's sixth-place 4x100m medley relay team. She also won the silver medal in the 200m back at the 2015 Pan American Games.

In her time in black and gold, Bouchard earned runner-up honors in the 200 back at the 2011 and 2013 NCAA Championships and placed third in the event in 2012.

Darragh, who swam for Mizzou from 2012-15, will swim the 100m and 200m fly and 200m IM in Toronto. He claimed first team All-America honors in the 200 fly with a seventh-place finish at NCAAs as a senior in 2015 and owns Mizzou's 200 fly and 200 IM records. Darragh enters the Trials as the second-seed (among Canadians) in the 200m fly, fourth in the 200m IM and sixth in the 100m fly.

To qualify for the Olympics, Bouchard and Darragh must meet one of seven qualifying critieria before Swimming Canada will submit their nominations to the Canadian Olympic Committee to approve. The simplist qualifier is a first-place finish at Trials in an Olympic qualifying time. Second-place finishers who achieve an Olympic qualifying time are also up for consideration.
