PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Mizzou Women's Golf is in fifth place following the first 36 holes of the Web.com Intercollegiate at Marsh Landing Country Club. The Tigers shot 289 (+1) in the first round and 293 (+5) in the second. Freshman Emma Allen (Southampton, England) is tied for second individually at 5-under par after shooting 69 (-3) and 70 (-2) on Monday.

"As a team, we had plenty of birdie opportunities that we unfortunately didn't connect on in the second round," head coach Stephanie Priesmeyer said. "Emma got off to a fast start in the first round and also came back strong on her final holes in the afternoon to lead our team. Tomorrow is a 1-day tournament now and we can make up the strokes that we are behind and contend for the title."

Senior Michelle Butler (Dunedin, Fla.) shot 73 (+1) in both rounds and is tied for 16th at 2-over par. Sophomore Clara Young (North Berwick, Scotland) is tied for 25th (+4) after shooting 74 in each two rounds. Freshman Amanda Kim (O'Fallon, Mo.) matched Young's totals and is also tied for 25th while competing as an individual. Fellow freshman Marit Harryvan (Winschoten, Netherlands) sits at 6-over par after shooting 74 (+2) and 76 (+4) while junior Jessica Meek (Carnoustie, Scotland) is at 7-over following a 73 (+1) and 78 (+5).
