#MIZTF PREVIEW - FRIDAY
- Friday marks the first full day of competition for the Tigers at the Pepsi Florida Relays. The field events will begin the day at noon ET with the women's hammer throw and discus, followed by the start of the track events at 12:15 p.m. ET.
- Junior Valerie Thames will retake the blocks for the first time in the 100m and 400m hurdles for the first time since her personal record runs last weekend at the Spring Invitational. Her 13.70 PR in the 100m hurdles has her at No. 5 on the Mizzou All-Time Top Ten list while her 51.90 in the 400m hurdles is now the second-fastest time in school history.
- Saturday also marks the 100m dash season debut for two-time All-American, Markesh Woodson. The senior currently holds All-Time Top Ten marks in both the 100m (No. 4) and 200m (No. 10) dashes.
- Joining Woodson in the 100m is freshman Kahmari Montgomery, who has already added his name to the record books in the 100m and 200m dashes during the season debut in Arkansas. Montgomery is coming off an exciting indoor season, which culminated in an SEC title and one of the top ten fastest indoor 400m dash times in the world during 2016.
- The mid-distance and distance events will also feature a set of season debuts, starting with senior Will Crocker in the 800m run. Crocker was a 2015 NCAA West Preliminary Round qualifier in the event, and added his name to Mizzou's All-Time Top Ten this past indoor season with his 1:49.24 performance. Other debuts include sophomore Karissa Schweizer in the women's 5000m, and the first 3000m steeplechase of the year for juniors Teylar Adelsberger, Marc Dubrick, and senior Sam Dickerson.
