COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball junior OH Carly Kan (Honolulu, Hawaii) will compete at the 2016 U.S. Women's National Team Open Tryouts from Feb. 19-21 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Kan is one of 231 student-athletes from 88 colleges and universities across the country set to participate in the open tryouts. Each student-athlete will have the opportunity to earn a spot on the U.S. Women's National Team, U.S. Collegiate National Team and U.S. Junior National Team. The selected student-athletes for the three available USA Volleyball teams will be announced in early March.

Fans can follow Kan and the open tryouts all weekend long on Twitter (@USAVolleyball) and at USA Volleyball's official website (www.TeamUSA.org).

Kan has previously worked with USA Volleyball on two different occasions as she competed at the World University Games this past summer and was a member of the USA Volleyball High Performance Team in 2014. The Honolulu native is a two-time AVCA All-American (2013-14) and three-time AVCA All-Southeast Region Team honoree.

Heading into her 2016 senior campaign, Kan has already joined the exclusive 1,000 kills/digs/points list. She is only one of five Tigers in program history to accomplish the feat. In 2015, Kan posted new career-highs in single-season kills (491), solo blocks (27), total blocks (52) and points (563.5). Her 491 kills a season ago marked the seventh-most in a single-season in program history.
