@MizzouSwimDive Hosts Vanderbilt in SEC Finale

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The No. 21 Mizzou women's swimming and diving team closes out Southeastern Conference competition on Thursday, Jan. 28 as the squad hosts Vanderbilt at 2 p.m. at the Mizzou Aquatic Center. The meet also serves as Senior Day for the men's and women's nine seniors: Abby Duncan, Levi Hanks, Daniel Graviss, Dillon Love, Matthew Margritier, Miranda Mercke, Anna Patterson, Michal Rokita and Clark Thomas, with festivities before the meet at 1:45 p.m.. The Mizzou men will swim an intrasquad scrimmage during the meet as Vanderbilt only has a women's program. The Mizzou women own a 4-2 overall record and a 1-2 mark in SEC action this season, while Vanderbilt enters the meet at 5-5 overall and 0-4 against conference foes. Last weekend, the Tigers recorded wins at Drury (185-56) and Missouri State (188-51).

Individually, Duncan leads six Tiger women ranked in the top 25 nationally in their respective events. Duncan owns the nation's best 200 breast time and also ranks fifth in the 100 breast, while junior Katharine Ross ranks third, 15th and 23rd nationally in the 100 breast, 200 breast and 200 IM, respectively. Also ranked are sophomore Hannah Stevens (12th in the 100 back), junior Nadine Laemmler (17th in the 200 back, 21st in the 100 back), sophomore Sharli Brady (21st in the 200 fly) and sophomore Kira Zubar (21st in the 500 free). 

Following the dual, Mizzou's swimming programs will compete against local club teams in the two-day Tiger Invite at the Mizzou Aquatic Center Friday, Jan. 29 - Saturday, Jan. 30.
