@MizzouVB Continues Academic Excellence In Fall 2015 Semester

Mizzou Volleyball maintained its string of academic excellence as the team posted an impressive 3.55 grade-point average during the Fall 2015 semester.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball maintained its string of academic excellence as the team posted an impressive 3.55 grade-point average during the Fall 2015 semester.

The Tigers' outstanding performance in the classroom marked the highest fall semester GPA in program history. Additionally, the 3.55 GPA tied the team's all-time highest mark, originally set during the Spring 2015 semester.

"I shouldn't be surprised by this team's academic performance but they continue to impress myself and the rest of our staff every day," head coach Wayne Kreklow said. "The ability to successfully manage a busy athletics schedule as well as a rigorous academic schedule is pretty remarkable. I'm really proud of each of these ladies and they all truly embody what a student-athlete should be."

For the Fall 2015 semester, four Tigers recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA, six individuals posted a GPA between 3.50-3.99 and three student-athletes finished with a GPA between 3.00-3.49. An impressive six total Tigers were named to the past semester's Dean's List as well.

High success rates in the classroom is nothing new to Mizzou Volleyball as it tallied a 3.62 GPA during the Summer 2015 semester and a cumulative 3.51 GPA during the 2014-15 school year at the University of Missouri.
