ZOU NOTES
• Mizzou has started the season 11-0 for the first time in program history. With the win at Colorado on Dec. 12, the Tigers moved past the 1982-83 team that started 9-0.
• Mizzou entered the Associated Press Top 25 poll at No. 25 on Monday. It marks the first AP national ranking for the program since Jan. 9, 2006.
• The Tigers drained a season-high 16 shots from beyond the 3-point arc on Sunday as Mizzou cruised to a 91-57 victory over Lamar. Freshman guard Sophie Cunningham (Columbia, Mo.) scored 19 first-half points and finished with a game-high 27 points with six rebounds and three assists.
• Cunningham leads the Tigers with 16.2 points per game and is second on the team with 5.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
NONCONFERENCE NOTABLES
• Mizzou head coach Robin Pingeton signed a new 5-year contract through the 2019-20 season that was announced on Oct. 2. She earned her 90th victory as Tigers head coach on Sunday afternoon vs. Lamar.
• The Tigers rank second nationally in free throw shooting percentage (78.2), 11th in scoring margin (+24.6) and rebounding margin (+13.0), 23rd in field goal percentage (46.1), 24th in 3-pointers per game (8.3), 26th in scoring offense (79.1 points per game), 29th in scoring defense (54.5 points per game) and 35th in field goal percentage defense (34.8).
• Sophie Cunningham is tied for 16th nationally in free throw percentage (89.7), converting 35 of her first 39 career attempts. She is also ranked 23rd in the country in field goal percentage (59.2) as she is 61-for-103 from the floor. Although she does not quite meet the minimum of two made 3-pointers per game, with one more trey, Cunningham's 3-point percentage (52.5) would rank 3rd in all of Division I. She ranks 45th in the country in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.31).
• The Tigers have played Texas State once previously, defeating the Bobcats 70-61 on Dec. 1, 2007 at Mizzou Arena.
