COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball was tabbed the No. 25 team in the country according to latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division I Coaches Top-25 poll, as announced Monday (Nov. 30).

It marks the first AVCA top-25 ranking this season for the Tigers and their first visit inside the rankings since the team checked in at No. 15 in the 2014 AVCA Preseason poll.

"We are all really proud of our season up to this point and it's great to be recognized by individuals from across the country," head coach Wayne Kreklow said. "We accomplished a lot in the regular season and we know there's a lot more ahead of us starting this week at the NCAA Tournament."

The Tigers' trip to the 2015 NCAA Tournament is their 12th all-time NCAA bid in program history. All 12 trips have come under Wayne Kreklow and Susan Kreklow's tenure since they took over the program beginning with the 2000 season.

Mizzou (26-5, 14-4 SEC) heads to Lawrence, Kan., on Thursday, Dec. 3, for the first and second rounds of the 2015 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Tournament. In their first round matchup, the Tigers will face Missouri State on Thursday at 4 p.m. (CT).

With a victory against the Bears, Mizzou would face the winner of Kansas and Furman on Friday, Dec. 4, at 6:30 p.m. (CT).
