COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball continues Southeastern Conference play this weekend with two contests. The Tigers host Mississippi State on Friday, Oct. 23, at 6:30 p.m. (CT) and two days later travel to No. 15 Florida on Sunday, Oct. 25, with first serve set for 12:30 p.m. (CT).
Both Friday and Sunday's contests will broadcast live on SEC Network+ via WatchESPN. Ben Arnet and Alexis Steinbach will be on the call at the Hearnes Center, while Tom Collett and Missy Whittemore is set for the call at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center in Gainesville, Fla.

- Friday night marks the Tigers' annual social media match. Fans are encouraged to follow and tweet at Mizzou Volleyball on Twitter (@MizzouVB) throughout the night using hashtag GRIT and BeatTheBulldogs.
- Prizes will be randomly awarded to fans who engage the Mizzou Volleyball Twitter account the most. Prizes on Friday night include an autographed volleyball by the Tigers, Mizzou Volleyball team gear, tickets to upcoming Mizzou Football and Mizzou Men's and Women's Basketball games and much more.

- The Tigers lead the all-time series vs. Mississippi State, 7-0. Mizzou holds a perfect 5-0 advantage in all-time matches played in Columbia, Mo.
- In the teams' last meeting, Mizzou claimed a 3-1 (27-25, 26-28, 25-22, 25-17) victory at Mississippi State on Oct. 9, 2015.
- Mizzou is 3-4 all-time against Florida, including a 1-2 record in matches played in Gainesville, Fla.
- Last time out, the Tigers won a thrilling 3-2 (22-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-19, 15-10) match at home against the then No. 9 ranked Gators.
- The exciting win at Hearnes marked Mizzou's third all-time victory against Florida. The Tigers are just one of four SEC teams with at least three wins over the Gators in the Mary Wise era. Those three wins in seven all-time matches stands out, as the other three teams to accomplish that feat took longer to do so. Tennessee has seven wins in 49 matches, Kentucky has four wins in 52 matches and LSU has five wins in 40 matches.
- Mizzou enters this weekend ranked second in the SEC standings (5-1) and its overall .895 winning percentage is tops in the conference and 10th in the NCAA.
- The Tigers continue to deliver an incredibly efficient offensive attack this season. Currently, their .284 team hitting percentage is second highest in the SEC and eighth-best in the country.
- Junior Emily Thater (.340), freshman Alyssa Munlyn (.334), redshirt sophomore Kira Larson (.331) and junior Julia Towler (.316) are each hitting over .300 through 19 matches, while junior Carly Kan's .282 hitting percentage in over 800 attacks also adds to the impressive team total.
- In addition to its outstanding hitting efficiency and team blocking, Mizzou has also consistently served well against its opponents. This season, the Tigers' 112 total service aces and 1.49 aces per set each rank second in the SEC.
- The outstanding serving numbers reached its peak last Sunday at Georgia (Oct. 18) as the Tigers tallied a season-high 10 aces against the Bulldogs. Sophomore Courtney Eckenrode led the attack with a new career-high six aces, including four consecutive at one point in the match.
UP NEXT
Following this weekend's matches, Mizzou continues its SEC schedule with two contests at home. The Tigers welcome Alabama to the Hearnes Center on Wednesday, Oct. 28, with first serve at 7 p.m. (CT). Mizzou's quick two-match home stand concludes on Sunday, Nov. 1, with a 4 p.m. (CT) first serve against Auburn.
