Student-athletes discuss their leadership assessments and creation of service projects
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou's Tiger Leadership Institute continued its teachings with its latest meeting on Monday, Oct. 19. The session featued time for Mizzou's student-athletes to discuss their 360 degree assessments and also lay further groundwork for each crew's leadership projects.
The 360 degree assessment, designed by Dr. Gregory Holliday and Dr. Ty-Ron Douglas, allows the student-athletes to receive feedback from their peers and coaches on their leadership styles, values and effectiveness.
Leading up to the unveiling of each student-athletes' assessment results, Dr. Holliday shared a historical quote of significance with the group.
"It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. After time well spent on each crew's leadership projects, Mizzou women's basketball senior guard Lindsey Cunningham (Columbia, Mo.) had one final task for the group. Posing for a picture, TLI sent its thoughts and support to Rhyan Loos, the 5-year old daughter of assistant men's basketball coach Brad Loos who is battling cancer.
