Student-athletes learn more about behavioral indicators
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou's Tiger Leadership Institute continued its inaugural season on Monday, March 21, with its latest group meeting at Mizzou Arena's Clinton Club. The subject matter left the crews of student-athletes searching for their best value-driven and relationship-focused behavioral indicators.
Becoming the best possible leader means constant self-evaluation, the Tigers found out, through the exercise organized by Dr. Greg Holliday. One example of a characteristic of a relationship-focused leader was "having a high degree of self-awareness", while an example of being values-driven was someone who "assumes personal responsibility for actions".
The many Mizzou student-athletes involved in this year's institute class selected their top behavioral indicators and discussed them in small-group settings to close the evening of growth.
