STILLWATER, Okla. – The Mizzou Tennis continued competition at the ITA Central Regional during day three action in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on Saturday, Oct. 17. Mizzou's doubles duo of senior Kelli Hine and junior Bea Machado Santos won two matches Saturday to advance to the semifinals of the doubles draw.

Hine and Machado Santos opened their day with an 8-5 win over Wichita State's Rebecca Pedrazzi and Aleksandra Trifunovic in the round of 16. The pair then won their round of eight match against Katarina Adamovic and Vladica Babic, 8-4, to advance to Sunday's semifinals.

Also in doubles action Saturday, sophomore Brianna Lashway and junior Cassidy Spearman suffered an 8-5 defeat at the hands of Tulsa's Rongrong Leenabanchong and Martha Matoula.

Five different Tigers notched singles wins on the day. Spearman notched a 6-2, 1-6, 10-6 victory over Simran Sethi of Oklahoma, freshman Turner Yates defeated Arkansas' Shelby King, 4-6, 7-5 (5), 11-9, and Brittany Lashway posted a 6-1, 6-3 win over SIUE's Morgan Steffes. Additionally, Brianna Lashway was triumphant over Maria Jose Cardona of Kansas, 6-4, 6-3, and sophomore Clare Raley earned a 6-2, 6-3 win over Minnesota's Alexandra Bergman.

Competing in the main singles draw, Hine went the distance but suffered a 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 loss to Caroline Ryba of Minnesota.
