COLUMBIA, Mo. – Tuesday night marked the national debut of ESPN Films SEC Storied documentary Tigers United, which chronicles the extraordinary brotherhood between members of the 2013 Mizzou Football team. That team went 12-2 and finished the season ranked fifth nationally. The documentary is centered around three teammates – Marvin Foster, Michael Sam and L'Damian Washington – as all three overcame adversity to play at Mizzou.

The brotherhood between the three of them was passed onto the entire team when prior to 2013, Sam announced to his teammates that he was gay. The team protected Sam's secret and wound up having one of the best seasons in school history. Sam thrived under the protection of his teammates to reset Mizzou's single season sacks record while winning SEC Defensive Player of the Year. Their story was chronicled in Tigers United, directed by Marquis Daisy and narrated by Hassan Johnson of HBO's The Wire.

Mizzou fans all across the world took to twitter last night to celebrate the documentary and the outstanding friendship between Foster, Washington and Sam. Below is their reaction.

Also, if you missed the documentary, you can catch it again on SECNetwork on Thursday (Sept. 24) at 10 p.m. and Sunday (Sept. 27) at 11 a.m.
