COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou volleyball added to its 2015 roster with the signing of freshman Hao Jin, as announced Tuesday morning by head coach Wayne Kreklow. Jin becomes the 14th member of the Tiger roster for the upcoming season.
"We're very excited to add another outstanding player in Hao Jin heading into the 2015 campaign," head coach Wayne Kreklow said. "Hao built an impressive playing resume in China, and will be a great asset to our program for years to come. She'll bring even more length and athleticism to this season's roster, and we can't wait for her to get started."
The Shijiazhuang, China, native brings another talented middle blocker to this year's rotation. Jin starred for Hebei Province in China beginning in 2011 when her team took first place at the youth volleyball games. Hebei Province also took top honors in 2012 and 2013.
Jin later led Hebei Province to the top of the podium at the 2013 and 2014 middle school volleyball games. Her 2013 squad was named as one of the top-four middle school volleyball teams in all of China.
The talented Tiger newcomer also shined in basketball and track and field during her youth athletics career. Jin's 2008 Hebei Province basketball team finished in third place at the youth tournament, while she placed second in high jump and first in long jump for the 2010 Hebei Province Shijiazhuang City track and field team.
Most recently, Jin took home first place in high jump for the 2014 Hebei Province Shijiazhuang City track and field team.
