COLUMBIA, Mo. - Senior Markesh Woodson closed out his individual events at the 2015 World University Games in Gwangju, South Korea, on Thursday (July 9), placing fifth the finals of the 100m dash.  He was the second U.S. athlete across the line, just behind TSU's Ronald Baker in fourth.

Woodson currently holds the fourth-fastest time in school history for the event at 10.18.  He crossed just off of that PR on Thursday, finishing in 10.19.  Both he and Baker will return to don the red, white, and blue in the men's 4x100m relay on Saturday (July 11).

Woodson was not the only Mizzou athlete to trade in the black and gold for national colors this week.  Mizzou grad Katrine Haarklau also took to the track this week, representing Norway in her first pole vault competition since the NCAA Championships last month.  The Mizzou record holder in the event (4.35m // 14-3.25), Haarklau advanced to the final round of the competition where she placed ninth overall with a top bar of 4.05m (13-3.50).
