Tigers Return from West Coast with Personal Records

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Junior Will Crocker clocked a new All-Time Top Ten mark on Friday (April 3), becoming one of the highlights out ofthe day's competition for the Tigers on the west coast. Seventeen members of the mid-distance and distance squads traveled to California to take on the Stanford Invitational and San Francisco State's Distance Carnival. Crocker was one of five Tigers earned new personal records (PR's) throughout the day's competition.

This is the second All-Time Top Ten list that Crocker has landed on this year, after he timed through with the second-fastest mile time in school history (4:01.34) during the indoor season. Now, he has the No. 4 mark in Mizzou history to add to his resume, after he crossed in 3:43.66, within 0.10-seconds of a position in the top three.

The first PR of the day came in the women's 1500m, with junior Liz Reida crossing in second for section five of the event in 4:26.09.

Junior Sam Dickerson was next, dipping just under his previous best in the 3000m steeplechase with a final crossing of 8:51.69. Dickerson entered the season at No. 5 in the Mizzou history books for the event with his 2014 PR of 8:51.74, a position he will retain with his new best.

A pair of Tigers also earned new PR's at San Francisco State, starting with sophomore Cain Winebrenner, who crossed third in his section of the 800m run with a final time of 1:51.71.

In the 5000m run, sophomore Jordan Cook knocked 35-seconds off his previous top mark, finishing in 14:30.75 to finish 14th.

Sophomore Kaitlyn Fischer rounded out the day's events for the Tigers, as she made her season debut in the 10,000m run with a 23rd place finish in a world-class field. The school record holder in the event, Fischer crossed in 33:43.04, improving on her 2014 debut by 25 seconds.
