COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou baseball has changed its home-opening start time to a 4 p.m. first pitch on Friday (March 6) at Taylor Stadium. With forecasted temperatures set to dip into the low 30s and upper 20s, the idea is to play the game in more ideal playing conditions. The game with Milwaukee was originally scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
Mizzou is off to its best start since 1985 at 10-1 and is second nationally in ERA through the first three weeks of the season. The Tigers were originally scheduled to open their home schedule last weekend before weather forced them to Millington, Tenn., for a three-game series with UIC, which the Tigers swept.
