COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou Student-Athlete Advisory Council, in association with the Central and Northeast Missouri Food Bank, has arranged a canned-food drive, scheduled for Saturday (March 14) at the Grindstone Wal-Mart in Columbia from 11 a.m. through 4 p.m. The food drive is a direct competition with the Arkansas Athletics Department and Cooperative Emergency Outreach. The goal is for Mizzou student-athletes to collect more canned food items than Arkansas, all while supporting a good cause of feeding the less fortunate in both Missouri and Arkansas.

Those wishing to participate can bring canned food items to the Grindstone Wal-Mart from 11 a.m. through 4 p.m. on Saturday. Those donating one or more canned food items will be entered to win Mizzou baseball and softball tickets while those donating five or more canned food items will be entered to win a football autographed by Mizzou head football coach Gary Pinkel.
