COLUMBIA, Mo. - Freshman Shauna Miller tied Mizzou's vault record with a 9.975 to lead the Mizzou gymnastics team to a score of 195.800 at home against the No. 8 Auburn Tigers (196.875) Friday night at the Hearnes Center. Miller joins former Tiger All-American Alisha Robinson as the only Missouri gymnasts to record the score in program history.

Mizzou's team tally of 195.800 marked the third time this season the squad reached that score, as the team had scores of 195.975 last week at Florida and 195.850 at SEMO on Jan. 30. Last season, Missouri failed to score a 195.800 in any meet.

Opening on their most consistent event, the Tigers posted a 49.125 on vault to open the meet, for their fourth 49.000 higher on the apparatus in the last five meets. Miller easily won the vault crown with her record-breaking 9.975. Senior Laura Kappler scored a 9.850, her seventh meet with at least a 9.800 or higher this season, to tie for fourth. Redshirt senior Katelyn Trevino recorded a score of 9.825, while freshman Becca Schugel tallied a 9.775.

Three different Tigers earned scores of 9.825 on bars in the second rotation to lead Mizzou to an event total of 48.950. Seniors Briana Conkle, Becca Johnson and Miller all reached the mark to tie for third in the final standings. Johnson has now scored a 9.800 or better in her last six meets, with an average of 9.842 in that span.

Moving next to beam, Missouri was solid on the event with a team score of 48.800. Kappler was stellar again on beam, notching a career best and 2015 team high 9.875 to earn second-place honors. Freshman Kelli Martin added a score of 9.800 two competitors later, and now has scores of 9.850 and 9.800 on beam in her first two collegiate meets. Schugel and freshman Tia Allbritten added tallies of 9.750 and 9.725, respectively.

The Tigers rounded out their night with a 48.925 on floor, thanks to three scores of 9.800 or better. Again placing second on the event was Kappler, who tied her career best on floor for the third week in a row with a 9.850. Sophomore Alyson Heimsath notched a 9.825, her second score of at least that tally in her last three meets, to tie for fifth. Additionally, freshman Kennedi Harris notched a 9.800, her fifth-straight meet with a or higher.

Missouri travels to Fayetteville, Ark, on Friday, Feb. 27, to face the No. 14 Arkansas Razorbacks at 7 p.m. CT.
