Game Notes
- Mizzou improved its conference winning streak to 19 games, a school record.
- Tiger freshman Sydney Deeken notched her first career start. Deeken recorded her seventh kill of the math during the second set, a new career high for a match. She finished with nine on the match and a career-high nine digs.
- The Tigers hit .414 in the first set, good for the best hitting percentage in a set at home this season. It was the fifth-best hitting set for Mizzou on the season.
- 14 points allowed in the opening set to Mississippi State tied for the fourth-fewest points allowed in a set this season. It tied for the second-best opening set of the year, trailing only a 25-7 score against Mississippi Valley State in the season opener.
- Carly Kan's kill to end the second set put her in double digits for the contest. She has at least 10 kills in 14 of 15 matches on the season.
- Kan's dig in the third set gave her a nationally-leading 12 double-doubles on the season.
- Ali Kreklow and Deeken both finished one dig shy of a double-double. Kreklow had 20 assists in the contest.
- Nine different Tigers claimed kills in the contest, including Sarah Meister tying her career-high of one.
- The 3-0 win was the third sweep for Mizzou on the season. It was the Tigers' 13th sweep over its 19-game conference winning streak.
- The Tigers hit .406 and .459 over the final two sets of the contest, making it the first match of the season in which the Tigers hit over .400 in each frame.
- With the win, the Tigers improved to 3-3 at home on the season and 5-0 all-time against Mississippi State. Mizzou has never lost a set to MSU.
