Honolulu, Hawaii - Despite a career-night for sophomore Sierra Michaelis, the Tigers could not stop the No. 14 Cal Golden Bears. Mizzou stayed with the Bears for most of the game, but the Tigers fall to 3-1 overall with Sunday night's 82-70 loss to Cal.

The Tigers and the No. 14 Bears played an exciting first half of basketball, as Mizzou held Cal to just 23-percent shooting beyond the arc to help take a 38-36 lead into the locker room at the half. Eye led Mizzou with 11 points in the first half, knocking down 3-of-5 shots from distance.

Led by Frericks, the Tigers out-rebounded Cal 25-12 in the first half. The Tiger sophomore grabbed eight rebounds in the half, finishing the game with 13 rebounds and nine points, just one away from her second double-double of the trip.

Mizzou and Cal stayed neck and neck for most of the second half, and the Tigers never let up. Two Golden Bear layups with 12 minutes left in the half helped the national-ranked team to pull ahead. Michaelis tallied 13 points in the second half to finish with a career-high 17 points in the game. Her three-pointer with less than two minutes to play brought Mizzou within seven, but it wasn't enough to put Mizzou back in the lead.

The Tigers fall to 3-1 on the season, and return home to face Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Nov. 30 at 2 p.m.
