• Mizzou improved to 1-1 on the season, earning a 56-41 win over Valparaiso on Sunday night. The win marks head coach Kim Anderson's first win at Mizzou.

• The Tigers' defense proved to be strong as Mizzou held Valpo without a field goal for almost eight minutes in the second half. Mizzou forced 14 Valpo turnovers, good for 17 points off those turnovers.

• Sophomore Wes Clark recorded his second consecutive double-figure scoring game on Sunday, recording 16 points against the Crusaders. The number also stands as a career-high for the sophomore. Clark also finished with a season-high six rebounds

• Johnathan Williams III recorded his first double-figure scoring game of the season on Sunday. His 10 points on the day mark a new season high for the sophomore, as well as his six rebounds on the night.

• Junior Ryan Rosburg led the Tigers in rebounds, setting a new season-high mark with his eight rebounds on the night. Rosburg was just four boards away from his career high (12).

• Mizzou bounced back at the free throw line against Valpo knocking down 12-14 from the charity stripe good for 85.7 percent.

• The Tigers held the Crusaders to 41 points in the contest on 32 percent shooting.
