Columbia, Mo.--Mizzou Golf will wrap up its fall 2014 season this weekend at Wendy's Kiawah Classic. The three-day event runs from Nov. 2-4, in Kiawah, S.C., and played at Turtle Point Golf Club.
The Tigers have earned two team victories so far during the fall campaign and will be looking to finish with another top finish. Mizzou finished fourth at the 2013 Wendy's Kiawah Classic.
The event takes place on the par 72, 7,100-yard course at Turtle Point Golf Club and is hosted by Charleston Southern University. Teams competing include Appalachian State, Bethune-Cookman, Coastal Carolina, Creighton, Gardner-Webb, George Washington, Georgia Southern, GRU Augusta, High Point, Jacksonville State, Marquette, Presbyterian, Radford, Richmond, USC Upstate, Temple, Western Kentucky and Winthrop.
Senior Ryan Zech will lead the Tigers at the event. The 2014 All-American posted individual victories at the Turning Stone Intercollegiate and Patriot Intercollegiate earlier this season. At last year's Kiawah Classic, Zech tied for 26th.
Linus Lilliedahl will go next for Missouri. The sophomore joined the program in January 2014 and earned the first top-10 finish of his Tiger career during his last outing by tying for eighth at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate.
Euan Walker tied for 26th with Zech at last year's event, part of his outstanding rookie season. The sophomore has two top-10 finishes on the season and played consistently throughout all four fall events.
Freshman Hayden Buckley will make his first appearance in the starting lineup at the event. The Tupelo, Miss., native competed at the Patriot Intercollegiate as an individual and tied for 35th with an 8-over-par 221.
Wilson Sundvold rounds out the Tiger lineup. The redshirt junior has only finished outside the top 25 at one event this season, with his best finish coming at the season-opening Turning Stone Intercollegiate. Sundvold took 53rd at last year's Kiawah Classic.
The Tigers will tee off for the first round Sunday morning and live scoring can be found at golfstat.com.
