Mizzou XC Set for Greater Louisville Classic

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou Cross Country teams are back on the road this weekend as they set off for the Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Ky., on Saturday.  This is the second consecutive meet weekend for the Tigers, who matched up against one of the toughest fields in the early-season last weekend at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn.

Meet Home  

Hailed as one of the most popular meets for the collegiate season in the U.S., the 12th annual running of the Greater Louisville Classic looks to live up to the reputation.  Boasting 125 college and university teams, and over 2,600 athletes, the meet is the second largest in the country for 2014. 

Set in the prestigious E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park, home to five Southeast Regional Championships and two NCAA Championships, events will kick off for the Tigers at 9:30 a.m. ET with the men's Gold Race, followed by the women's Gold Race at 10:15 a.m., the men's Blue Race at 10:45 a.m., and finally the women's Blue Race at 11:30 a.m.
