THE LAST WEEK OF MIZZOU SOFTBALL
• Mizzou Softball (22-7, 2-4 SEC) ran off a perfect 6-0 record over the last week, first sweeping a home doubleheader vs. Illinois State (4-2, 5-0) on March 19, before besting the field in the Mizzou Tournament (March 21-23) with four wins. The Tigers defeated Ball State (11-3 in six innings), North Dakota State (11-2 in five innings), Oklahoma State (2-1) and UMKC (14-0 in five innings).

• Redshirt sophomore 2B Ashtin Stephens dropped four RBI on Illinois State in the initial win of the doubleheader (March 19), batting in all of Mizzou's runs for the victory. Her 2-for-2 game at the plate included a deep double to left field to bring home two Tigers. Junior 1B Kelsea Roth also had two base knocks, batting 2-for-3 with a double.

• In Game Two vs. Illinois State, freshman 3B/2B Natalie Fleming launched her first collegiate home run as part of a 2-for-3 performance at the plate. Junior IF Corrin Genovese was perfect at the plate with a 3-for-3 outing, including three RBI for a new career-best.

• Both redshirt sophomore OF Taylor Gadbois and senior OF Mackenzie Sykes hit 3-for-4 in the victory over Ball State (March 21), with Sykes hitting two doubles to power her way to a career-best five RBI. Sykes followed that up with Mizzou's second grand slam of the season in the win vs. North Dakota State (March 22). Freshman 1B/P Jordan Zolman also recorded her first collegiate hit in the victory over the Bison.

• Gadbois and sophomore 2B/OF Emily Crane currently sport hitting streaks of 25 and 11 games, respectively. Crane has a current reached base safely streak of 18 games. Crane's top outing of the past week came against North Dakota State, in which she batted 3-for-4.

• Crane helped provide run and "running" support in the exciting 2-1 victory over Oklahoma State (March 22). In a 1-for-2 game at the plate, Crane scored one run, recorded one RBI, walked once and stole two bases.

• Runs flew onto the scoreboard in the Tigers' 14-0 win over UMKC to finish off the Mizzou Tournament. Big performances came from redshirt sophomore SS Sami Fagan and freshman P/1B/OF Casey Stangel. Fagan batted 2-for-3 with a double and matched her career-best with three RBI. Stangel was perfect at the plate, also doubling in a 3-for-3 day with a career-high four RBI and three runs scored.

• The Tigers will face Illinois in a doubleheader at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo., on Wednesday, March 26. The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday, but was shifted a day back to avoid forecasted weather conditions in the area.

• Mizzou returns to University Field for more Southeastern Conference action with Georgia from Friday, March 28-Sunday, March 30. The series gets started with a 6:30 p.m. first pitch on Friday.
