
Mizzou Golf Third After Day One In California

Missouri Golf opened the spring season on Monday and the Tigers are third after two rounds of play at The Farms Collegiate Invitational hosted by San Diego University.
The 54-hole event is being played at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., and Saint Mary's leads the 12-team field by three shots over Pacific. Saint Mary's shot consistent rounds of 289-289--578 to carry a three shot lead over Pacific (581), while the Tigers (595) are third and Fresno State (597) is fourth heading into Tuesday's final round.
Mizzou has a pair of Tigers among the Top 10 in the individual standings led by junior Emilio Cuartero and senior Jace Long. Cuartero is fourth overall with rounds of 71-73--144, just two shots ahead of Long (73-73--146), who is tied for ninth.
Freshman Jacob Fair (T-18) is among the Top 20 individuals with rounds of 78-73 and Hunter Kraus (38th) was the fourth Tiger scorer with rounds of 79-77. Ryan Zech is 45th overall with rounds of 77-81.
Play at The Farms Collegiate Invitational concludes on Tuesday with tee times starting at 8 a.m.
