COLUMBIA, Mo. - Missouri Golf continued its strong start to the spring campaign on Monday, racing to a seven-shot lead after 36 holes of play at the 2013 Washington State Snowman Getaway in Goodyear, Ariz.

Hosted at Palm Valley Golf Club, Mizzou has four players among the Top 20 on the leaderboard heading into Tuesday's final round, including senior Jace Long (67-72--139) and sophomore Ryan Zech (72-67--139) who are tied for second, just three shots behind the tournament leader, Washington State's Michael Anderson (71-65--136).

Jacob Fair and Emilio Cuartero are also among the Top 20. Zech fired consistent rounds of 71-72--143 to stand in 12th, while Cuartero, the champion of the spring-opening The Farms Collegiate, shot 70-74-144 and is tied for 17th.

Brad Moody was the fifth participant for Head Coach Mark Leroux's club shooting 76-80--156 and junior Hunter Kraus competed as an individual and shot 70-71--141 and is tied for eighth.

As a team the Tigers shot 280-285--565 and are seven shots in front of second place Gonzaga. Washington State and Utah Valley are eight shots behind the Tigers with 18 holes left to play.

Competition at the 2013 Snowman Getaway concludes on Tuesday afternoon.
