Second Round Game Notes
Purdue improved to 22-11 on the season, while Mizzou ended the year with a 35-1 record.
The Boilermakers advanced to the Sweet Sixteen for the seventh time in school history and the fourth consecutive season.
Purdue improved to 23-15 all-time in the NCAA Tournament, while Mizzou fell to 9-11. The loss was the first of the season for Mizzou. The team's .972 winning percentage is a school record.
Prior to the match, Mizzou had lost just eight sets all season and never more than one in a match.
The Boilermakers tied a four-set season high with 12.0 blocks in the match. The squad also recorded that many against Northern Kentucky (Sept. 21), Ohio State (Nov. 9) and Northwestern (Nov. 15).
Purdue's Val Nichol recorded her 19th double-double on the season with 14 kills and 10 digs.
Mizzou seniors Lisa Henning and Molly Kreklow conclude their Mizzou careers as the winningest class in program history with a 97-37 (.724). The 97 wins also are a four-year best in the post-expanded NCAA era, bettering the 90 wins from 2002-05.
Henning ends her Tiger career as the school's career leader in matches played (134), kills (1,794), total attacks (4,538) and points (2033.5).
Kreklow concludes her career second all-time at Mizzou in assists (5,366).
Mizzou junior MB Whitney Little upped her school record single-season blocks mark to 42 with one in the contest. She also ended the year with 118 block assists, which is second on Mizzou's single-season list, just one behind record holder Nicole Wilson (119).
Little also tied her own single-season school record with 139 total blocks in 2013. She also recorded 139 last season.
