IOWA CITY, Iowa - Two Mizzou divers earned top-12 finishes at the recent USA Diving AT&T Senior National Championships Aug. 13-18 at the University of Iowa Campus Recreation and Wellness Center.
Redshirt junior Loren Figueroa competed on both the 1-meter and 3-meter events at the Championships. On the 3-meter, she advanced through preliminaries to the semifinals and finals to ultimately finish in 12th-place. The Houston, Texas, native scored 262.20 points in prelims, 245.10 points in the semifinals and 244.50 points in the finals session to close out her event schedule.
Figueroa also took 15th on the 1-meter with a preliminary round score of 238.40.
In his only event, sophomore Clark Thomas placed 10th on the 1-meter with 336.05. Thomas, who hails from Olathe, Kan., narrowly missed advancing to the finals by 7.30 points.
Sophomore Lauren Reedy was Mizzou's third competitor of the Championships. The Rochester Hills, Mich., native took 16th (202.80) on the synchronized 3-meter with diving partner Danielle Hulvey.
