Fayetteville, Ark. - Freshman Markesh Woodson will move on to day two of the NCAA Indoor Championships, qualifying for the 60m dash finals in 6.65, good for fifth in his heat. The school record holder and SEC Champion had to bounce back after two false starts in his heat, one of which knocked out the No. 2 seed in the event. Woodson enters Saturday's competition in eighth, within 0.02 of a top five finish in the field.
Sophomore Kearsten Peoples will also be in action on the final day of the Championships, facing off against the nation's top collegiate shot putters. She enters the competition ranked 13th overall with her school record mark of 16.87m (55-4.25).
