Mizzou finally got on the board at 157, as No. 15 Drake Houdashelt defeated No. 19 Albert White by a 2-1 score. Both wrestlers scored an escape by Houdashelt picked up 1:08 on top to score the riding time point. The win was Houdashelt's second of the year over White.
Missouri's other victory came at 184 pounds, as Mike Larson avenged a loss to Chris McNeil earlier in the month in Columbia. McNeil jumped ahead to a 2-1 lead after the first period. McNeil started the second period on bottom, and with 28 seconds left frame, Larson was able to put McNeil on his back for the fall.
The Tigers begin postseason action next Saturday, March 3, as they host the Big 12 Championship at the Hearnes Center. Tickets can be purchased for as low as $10 through ticketmaster.com and the Mizzou Arena Ticket Office (1-800-CAT-PAWS).
