
Mizzou Golf Leads In Little Rock

Missouri Golf is in position for its third consecutive victory of the spring season as a second-round 67 by freshman Jace Long has lifted Mizzou into a tie for first at the 2011 Arkansas-Little Rock First Tee Classic on Monday.
The 2011 First Tee Classic is being played at the par-72, 7,326-yard Chenal Country Club.
Missouri was in sixth place after a first-round 297, but moved into a tie for first with Southern Mississippi thanks to a 1-over-par 289 as a team. A native of Dixon, Mo., Long (71-67--138) led the Tigers during their second tour of the Chenal Country Club, recording a 5-under-par 67 to grab a three-shot lead over Southern Miss's Nick Brown (70-71--141).
Long is joined in the top 20 by teammate Stuart Ballingall. Ballingall also improved in his second round, shooting 74-73--147 to tie for 17th. Will Harrold is tied for 22nd with 76-72--148.
Hunter Kraus was Missouri's #4 scorer, shooting 76-77--153 to tie for 54th.
The 2011 First Tee Classic will conclude tomorrow, with a shotgun start beginning at 8 a.m.
