Cuartero Wins John Dallio Memorial

Lemont, Ill. - Emilio Cuartero finished -3 to lead the Tigers and place first at the John Dallio Memorial Tournament. The sophomore held steady through three rounds (72-69-72--213) and fired off an eagle and back-to-back birdies in the second round to keep the Tigers at the top of the competition.

Mizzou held the lead for the first two rounds (292-289-295) but could not stay in the lead as Florida Gulf Coast moved into first place in the third round.

The Tigers had three top-20 finishers including Jace Long (+1) who followed close behind Cuartero to finish in a tie for second. He shot -3 in the third round finishing with rounds of 75-73-69--217. Ryan Zech (+9) also contributed with a 81-73-71--225 score to tie for 19th.

Nick Wilson and Hunter Kraus close out Missouri's finishers. Wilson finished in a tie for 22nd after he shot 70-74-83. Back to back birdies on the front nine of the first round gave him a solid start to the day on Saturday. Kraus shot 75-76-84 to put him in a tie for 45th.

The Tigers head back out on Oct. 14-16 for the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate in Jonesborough, Tenn.
