Missouri Post Game Notes

Missouri earned its second road win of the season following a 76-70 win at Iowa State. The Tigers have now won three consecutive games in Ames, Iowa, for the first time since 1995.

Missouri is now in the midst of its winningest three-year stretch in school history. The Tigers have 75 victories over the last three seasons, equaling the 75 wins by teams from 1980-83 and 1988-91.

Missouri's win mark is up to 21 this season and the Tigers have won four of their last five games overall. The lone loss in that stretch was at Kansas back on Feb. 7.

Missouri again shot the ball well in the victory. The Tigers were 27-of-55 from the floor (.491) and over the last four games Missouri is shooting .517 from the floor and is averaging 84.5 points.

That great shooting came in spite of its fewest three-point makes of the season. The Tigers hit just three triples in the win.

Head Coach Mike Anderson won his 198th career game as a head coach and is just two wins shy of 200 for his career.

Marcus Denmon was once again a star on Saturday, scoring 25 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the floor. Denmon now has 12 career 20-point games and the Tigers are 11-1 in those affairs (Georgetown). Denmon is also averaging 17.5 ppg in the first half over his last two outings.

Denmon has reached double figures in 22 of his last 24 games and has topped 20 points in back-to-back efforts.

Over his last two games Denmon is a combined 18-of-27 from the floor (.667) and is averaging 22.5 points per game.

Ricardo Ratliffe continues to be the front-runner for Big 12 Newcomer of the Year. Ratliffe recorded his fourth double-double of the season with10 points and 10 boards in the victory. Most importantly Ratliffe was a perfect 4-of-4 at the charity stripe and also dished a couple of assists.

Ratliffe has hit for double figures in 10-of-12 Big 12 games this season.

Kim English scored his 1,000th career point on a pair of first-half free throws. English and Denmon are the first set of Tiger teammates to top 1,000-points as juniors in the same season since Rickey Paulding and Arthur Johnson in 2002-03.
