
Mizzou in Seventh After Round One of NCAA Regional

SAN DIEGO, Calif.- The Missouri men's golf team stands in seventh place at the NCAA Southwest Regional after carding an opening round 299.
The Tigers are just five behind a group of four tied for the lead with score of 294. Oregon, Cal, Tennessee and UNLV are tied for the top spot, followed by Central Florida (295), New Mexico State (296) and Mizzou.
Freshman Stuart Ballingall led the Tigers individually with an even-par-72 in Thursday's first round. He is in a tie for seventh place. Redshirt freshman Jace Long shot a 73 and is tied for 12th spot.
Sophomore Chris Johnson is tied for 40th after a round of 76 on Thursday, while freshman Michael Garden's 78 is good for a tie for 60th place. Junior Will Harrold is tied for 69th spot with a round of 82 in the first round.
UNLV's Eddie Olsen is at the top of the individual standings after recording a four-under-par 68.
The second round of the NCAA Southwest Regional is set for Friday.
