The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Gymnastics and Golden Girl Practice Facility was held on Friday, Sept. 24. The University of Missouri worked in conjunction with Ellerbe Becket Architects to develop the 5.625 million dollar practice facility.
The state-of-the-art facility will total 25,000 square feet to be divided between the Missouri Gymnastics and Golden Girls squads. In addition to locker room and shower facilities, the new facility will house a gymnastics practice area, dance floor, cardio exercise area, office space and storage areas.
The project is on track for completion in August 2011.
